The Steinbach Family Medical Center is home to 16 family physicians and 2 general surgeons.  The clinic has been in its present location since 1989 and strives to adhere to the Principles of Family Medicine.


We are a teaching center for family medicine residents and medical students from the University of Manitoba.


We are currently participating in two Manitoba Health initiatives, the Physician Integrated Network, which is working to improve Patient Access to primary care, focusing on Chronic Disease management and improved use of Information Technology and Advanced Access, “a comprehensive approach to effective patient delivery.”

Same Day Care Clinic Replaces Walk-in Clinic


Same Day Care Clinic (SDCC) Hours

Monday to Friday

9:00 am - 12:30 pm

1:30 pm - 5:00 pm


  1. Bullet  The SDCC is by appointment.

  2. Bullet  Appointment times are available on a same day basis only.

  3. Bullet  Appointments can be made by phone or in person.

  4. Bullet  Call 326-3401 to make an appointment, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

  5. Bullet  You will be required to take the next available appointment.

  6. Bullet  You will be asked to indicate the reason for your appointment.

  7. Bullet  Please bring your Manitoba Health Card with you.


Saturday Walk-in Clinic

8:30 am - 12:00 noon

(Closed holiday weekends)


  1. Bullet  Saturday continues as a walk-in format (no appointments).

  2. Bullet  The Walk-in may limit the number of people seen.
